I recently went to Pennsylvania on a trip with a lovely group of like-minded quilting ladies and the trip was organised by Charlene Cruise. As she has been to America many times she is a bit of an expert and had a packed itinerary ready which got us excited even before we got there.
We stayed in Kitchen Kettle Village which is in the town of Intercourse. Our accommodation was fantastic. Most of the rooms were above quilt or gift shops. The shop above was across the street from Kitchen Kettle and was the most beautiful quilt shop. Shelves of gorgeous fabrics, beautiful gifts and hand quilted patchwork quilts for sale. Look at the hitching rails for the horses.
This is the bedroom that I shared with my friend Anne. Some of the other rooms had full quilts on the beds. Plenty of space and gorgeous décor.
These are some of the shops in Kitchen Kettle Village.
The following photographs are of shops in the village of Intercourse itself.
I'm afraid that I will have to split the photographs up into different posts as there are just too many for one.
So I hope you'll come back to see them.
Can I please also ask for your patience as I learn this new format for my blog and
excuse any teething troubles that I may have.
Bye for now.
